Crofton Nursery School

Crofton Nursery School is a non-profit cooperative half-day preschool for three, four and five-year-olds. Crofton Nursery School (CNS) was established in 1967 and incorporated in 1968 by a group of parents who wanted the best preschool experience for their children. This feeling has been embraced by each participating family since. The 2-year kindergarten preparation curriculum incorporates social and academic development through a range of fun and educational activities, including art, singing, dancing, reading, storytime, free play, field trips, and more. The highly qualified teachers & parents work together in a warm and friendly atmosphere to teach the children cooperation, creativity, and caring for others. The classroom is spacious and bright with an intentional variety of educational toys that encourage dramatic play, letter exploration, early reading skills & early math skills through curious play. Outdoors there is a fenced-in playground and open space for active and imaginative outdoor play. Although Crofton Nursery School is housed in St. Stephens Episcopal Church, it is a non-sectarian school owned and operated by its members.
